Dear members,
Can a plate to ASTM A36 can be used to manufacture TEEs to A234 WPB, is there any restriction in BPV or B31.3 on the use of A36 plate for manufacturing A234 Tees.
One of client says A36 is for general purpose and cannot be used for making a pressure containing component to be used in oil and gas production . Is it correct, if yes why? And if not can you please provide me a technical justification, I could not find anything B31.3.
