It is standard test method for pitting and crevice corrosion resistance of stainless steel and related alloys by use of ferric chloride solution.

                 pls explain in detail what is ASTM G48 and why and where it is used in welding of DSS & SDSS.

Is it required for only WPS & PQR or also for welder qualification also?
