Re: [MW:9015] CONSUMABLE SELECTION FOR JOINT OF DIFFERENT THICKNESSES.

Hi

Consumable selection is not going to play a role in dissimilar thicknesses case, your design code may restrict you from welding if thickness difference is exceeding the code requirement. Please mention your design code, material specs and parameters, to see if there could be some metallurgical issues as well.

DEAR ALL,
KINDLY SUGGEST ME THAT AS PER IS CODE WHAT WILL BE THE CONSUMABLE SELECTION WHILE WELDING THE JOINT OF DIFFERENT THICKNESSES. WHETHER THE GROOVE DESIGN & CONSUMABLE SELECTION WILL BE AS PER LOWER THICKNESS ONE. IN WHICH NUMBER OF IS CODE IT IS THERE; PL. GUIDE ME.

THANKING YOU
