Re: [MW:8525] Re: Regarding Repair Calculation

Repair % would be,

15mm (Repaired length) x 250mm (Total Length of seam) / 100= 6%

One more method of cauculating repair % is Spot wise.
 i. e % Repair= (No of RT spot repair / Total RT spot )*100

Dear Raj,

I have a doubt, For example in a 10mm thickness job a defect of 5mm length X 3mm width noticed under 5mm depth, for repairing purpose the excavation will be more than the defective length ( approximate of  15mm length & depth 6mm X width 6mm),and also let us keep the total length of NDT completed as 250mm,at this condition what is the repair percentage. Do you will consider the defect area or excavated area,

With regards,

Hi,

1) Percentage Repair Rate = Defective Length Repaired / Total length
of NDT completed
OR
2) Percentage Repair Rate = Number of joints Repaired / Total number
of joints NDT completed

Cheers!
