Dear Akhil,

When material is rolled without normalising heat treatment afterwards
a lot of residual stresses will be present in the material caused by
the welding and rolling activities.
Once you execute PWHT relaxation will start because of the reduced
yield strength at the PWHT temperature, this will cause some
elongation in the material and causes the distortion after cooling
down.
