[MW:8500] RE: 8499] REGARDING STAINLESS STEEL(304L) Welding

Dear Raghuram,

Kindly suggest the following,

Due to non availability of permanent valves, client asked to erect temporary valve for commissioning  the system before one year.

Now permanent valve has come and  client asking to replace the temporary valve.

Service of the line is    : Sulphuric acid

Pipe line material         : SS

Size of the pipe           : 2” sch 40

My question is

1.       What are the precaution to be carried out before taking welding because line under service of  sulphuric acid  and some layer tracing are found inside the pipe.

2.       In between valve joint how purging arrangement will be carried out ?

Kindly suggest the welding & Purging method.
