ASME  doesnt specify such limits, for assessment you may refer API 579,fitness for service and while for such works in piping API 570.

Can anybody guide us,
Regarding the maximum size of hole that can be welded with filler material without parent metal patch, or minimum size of patch that can be welded. ( Construction code ASME section VIII Div. 1)Vessel shell thickness is 25 mm and material is SA-240 TP 304H.
