Re: [MW:8193] Weld Macro examination

Dear Mr. Nathan,
Macro examination is basically by eye (6/6 ideal power) without any aid. But standards say 4X or 5X or your client spec may have desired level of magnification.

Dear members,
I've a question about Macro examination in
PQR's. What is the minimum magnifcation level we need to have? ,is
there any reference standard/specification .
One of my client spec syas it must be x5 .I have come across with
various PQR review this magnification level is varying a range from
x2.7 ,x3.4,x4.0&x5.0.

Also is there any significance in referring the letter  in small
case(x5) or Caps(X5)

Any one can put your expertise in this regard.
