Re: [MW:8049] porosity in aluminium welding.


The shielding gas is very important too. Mixtures with helium improved weld speed and reduce the porosity. See the attach:

Any body can  suggest to avoiding porosity in aluminium welding.
material is 5083 aluminium alloy. i have used pure argon gas as shielding gas in GTAW process.
