Re: [MW:8036] Consumable MTC Review

Hi,

Check Sec.II Part - C for corresponding consumable specification and test requirements. If Part-C require PWHT for your consumable then the consumable manufacturer should be done and shown on the MTC.

Thanks & Regards,

Dear All,

Design Code- ASME B31.3
Welding Code - ASME SEC IX
Process - GTAW+SMAW

I have a WPS which is qualified with PWHT and impact test. Now I have to review some consumable MTC.I need advise on the following queries.

1.Is it mandatory that the consumable MTC shall show the mechanical test values with PWHT for acceptance ?

2.Can I accept consumable MTC which is matching with corresponding SFA and material properties with out PWHT?

Regards,

Limesh
