[MW:8041] RE: 8029] porosity in aluminium welding.

 

 

 

You can change the shielding gas to a mixture of helium and argon. This helps to minimise the porosity in the welding.

 

Ensure you are cleaning properly.

Any body can  suggest to avoiding porosity in aluminium welding.

material is 5083 aluminium alloy. i have used pure argon gas as shielding gas in GTAW process.
