Dear Sundaram,
 
The required profile is obtained to the project either through
  • Manufacturers data sheet
  • Client Specification

Depending on the requirement we will be choosing the grit size.Normally qualification test will be there, and if the grit size is correct I think there will not be much problem.Profile above the limits may affect, if the primer coat is of low DFT. Other wise the effect is more consumption of paint.

                    Surface profile required - 40 - 70microns

          If the surface profile crossing the required limit 70-
80microns then what will the effect on painting and what is the
reference code.Please guideme

E71T-1C  is Charpy Impact tested at -20degC E71T-1CJ is Charpy impact tested at -40degC. AWS Classification for FCAW is only a supplementary...
