Re: [MW:7823] low temperature pipe and ASTM A106

A106 Grade Carbon steels are called KILLED carbon steel and used for Normal and  Hot services(Temperature ranging between 100 oF - 750 oF .Where as A53 Grade carbon steels were not called as Killed caron steel.

A333 Grade car steels were suitable for Low temperature services.

A106 Grade B Carbon Steel Pipes - Pressure and Temperature Ratings

Pressure (psig) and temperature (deg F) ratings of A106 Grade B carbon steel pipes - temperatures ranging 100 oF - 750 oF

Ratings are given for standard seamless pipes at temperatures ranging 100 oF - 750 oF. Ratings in psig based on ANSI/ASME B 31.1.

Hi,

What is the real difference of ASTM A333 pipe from ASTM a106grB?
ASTM A333 is a low temperature CS pipe but 106 is not. What is the main features of Low temperature CS steel pipes by their chemical composition and mechanical properties?
Please share your experience on this.
