We had tried one sample of our coupon for impact testing after normalizing the value has got reduced.

ie., it has failed in the pwht for 1 hour and at the same time after normalizing.(as per  asme sec viii div1/ug84)

counsumable batch tested at much lower impact than required and plate is Sa 516 Gr65 N

Even all supplementary essential variables are taken care.

normalising temp should be in the range of 880 to 920 degC and soaking time 1/2 hr per inch thk. higher soaking time will result in lowering of weld strength.
