[MW:7451] Re: Why IGC Samples of PQRs fail?

Dear Jignesh,
Please find the details as follows,
Say for example, take PQR No.2
E309LCbT0-1 + E316LT0-1 (6.5 mm Thk) Overlay on SA 387 Gr. 22 CL.2,
Specimen size (L x B x Thk) (mm): 69.86 x 34.15 x 6.65,
Former Diameter-1t (mm); 6.65,
Observation at 20 X: Sample broken in two pieces
Remark: Not Acceptable
Note: Sample bent so as to keep top surface of overlay in tension.
IIly, For other PQRs with O/L thk ranging from 7 to 11 mm, Sample
thickness taken 5.26 to 5.80 mm
Same results obtained as mentioned above.
So there is no question arising regarding cracks or micro structure.

This may help you to give suggestion.
Also, Customer is asking for the IGC test of Overlay PQRs.
Give your valuable suggestions

Regards
Jigs
