Looking for your expert advise. Normally the samples are cut as per API 1104 code for qualification of WPS for pipeline welding. However, the code allows the option to the company for different sample provided any sample fails to meet the sample’s preparation requirements for qualification of WQT. What about if company opts for different sample for WPS qualification as API 1104 allows for WQT. Can it be acceptable upon discretion of the company?
