Correction - Re: [MW:7649] Re: Mechanical Values of A269 TP304 Seamless tubes

Hi,
In my last mail i  was wrongly mentioned that it has been replaced to SA312.But the properties os TP304 is almost equal to SA312 TP304. SA269 is used for ASME B31.3 applications.
Actually Its an ASTM material, you can get the detail of this material in www.astm.org.
Pls.refer attached file of Properties and test requirements for A269.

Thanks & Regards,

Hi,
SA269 TP304(UNS No.S30400) is not listed in ASME It has been replaced to SA312 TP304(UNS No.S30400). The material properties of this type of steel is define by this grade. In this case (SA269 TP304) is a SEAMLES AND WELDED AUSTENITIC STAINLESS STEEL TUBING FOR GENERAL SERVICE.You can get the properties of this material as specified in SA312 TP304.

Please find below the Properties of TP304.
Tensile Strength: 75Ksi(515MPa)
Yield Strength: 30Ksi (205MPa)

Note:
Mechanical property requirements do not apply to tubes smaller than 1/8. (3.2mm) in in side diameter or 0.015 in.(0.38mm) in thickness

For test requirements pls.refer to SA312 and A999

Thanks & Regards,

Dear Mr. Malik,

I tried to find any specification called ASTM A269 but couldn't find
it, its also not mentioned in Section II part A of ASME IIIV as SA269.
Is the specification mentioned correct and still current?

Best Regards,

Herman Pieper
