RE: [MW:6372] Hydrotesting of pipeline

As per your piping design code, you must follow the minimum examination
criteria specified. Over and above code minimum requirements, piping
designer specifies NDT examination type and extent for different fluid
service types and conditions. Those requirements differ from one fluid
service type to other but all the piping as per ASME B31.3 process piping
code has to be hydrostatically tested whether RT / UT has been carried out
5% or 100%.

If you specify the fluid type which has to be handled by the piping under
discussion and the material of piping, I can better provide you the inputs
as per code and other practical experiences.
