Re: [MW:0] minimum butt weld joint

There is no code or standard telling that & for your information last year during a project in a refinary I was working as QA/QC Engineer and we face many joints 1" butt weld & taken RT also.

we have butt joints as low as 1/2" size with high pressure temperature service.you can do one thing get PMS/WPS approved for small bore butt weld pipes.

E71T-1C  is Charpy Impact tested at -20degC E71T-1CJ is Charpy impact tested at -40degC. AWS Classification for FCAW is only a supplementary...
