Dear Balaji,

You're not correct , the welder is perfectly qualified to weld using 8018 electrodes(Not 8028).Both falls under F4.See the extract from ASME Sec-IX FYI.

                  Nope. He can't weld P-4 material using
E8028 electrodes, since F numbers are different. As per Sex IX, for welder qualification, F numbers are essential variables.
