[MW:6329] RE: 6323] Porosity in Aluminium welding Reg.,

Turbulence of weld pool - Increase welding current to stabilize transfer of metal droplets.

Wet or contaminated shielding gas or inadequate flow.check dew point of gas (max -57 °C), Increase flow rate

Fast cooling rate of weld pool - Use higher welding current and/or a slower travel speed, preheat base metal (150 °F max or refer to AWS D1.2)

Dissolved hydrogen in the base metal is one common reason for porosity in aluminum welds.

What are all the probable reasons for getting porosity in aluminium welding, other than weather conditions,   here both material and filler are 99.7% Pure Aluminium.

 

Please share with any type of reason.
