Mansoor,

I assume you are referring to austenitic alloys since they are prone
to sensitization during welding and thermal treatments? You would not
expect a hardness increase in austenitic stainless steels after
quenching from a solution anneal. Austenitic stainless steels are not
hardenable since they do not form martensite on cooling.
