[MW:6252] Solution Annealing of Stainless Steels

Dear All,
I am slightly confused about solution annealing of stainless steel.
In this process we heat the steel above the temperature range of
sensitisation (upto 900 deg C) and then we suddenly cools it so that
sensitisation temp range passes quickly.

I just want to know does this sudden cooling not increases the
hardness of Stainless Steel.
If No then Why.
If yes then how to avoid that increased Hardness.

Regards,
Mansoor.
