Re: [MW:5954] Heat input As per API 1104

It is more dependent on the Client's Specifications. Shell DEP has their own percentage allowances for Heat Input.

Hi Gents,

As per API 1104, can the qualified heat input range be established as follows for GMAW process?

1. The minimum qualified heat input shall be the minimum heat input recorded during PQR -10%

2. The maximum qualified heat input shall be the maximum heat input recorded during PQR +10%

3. While for SMAW process, Maximum qualified heat input shall be the maximum recorded during PQR.

Pls I want more contribution for clarity of purpose.
