RE: [MW:5871] String Test in Equipments

Purpose is to check the Mechanical behavior of complete Package as one unit together.

 

It may be with Part load or with full load depends on availability of Gas and suitability of Motor/Rotating equipments/Auxiliary for the full load.

 

Generally, the purpose of String test is for Mechanical behavior and not for Performance check, so It is generally done with part load condition.

String test means to test Driver + Driven equipments together.

 

Some time, we use Complete unit test also.
