 this is for your info
One of my client specification allows the Minimum distance between(toe to toe) weld can be 5 times the wall thickness provided both joint can be radiographicaly acceptable.If in case of sour service Hardness check on weld ,HAZ & Base metal is required.

For Pig signaller, we have to weld a barred tee in the pup piece attached with valve.

pup piece material- API 5L X60 PSL2
barred tee- ASTM A860 WPHY 60

length of pup piece is 125 mm. Kindly find the attached drawing for welding connection.

Acc. to Australian std distance between welds should be 6 times of thickness, in this case we r not able to weld.
PLS confirm looking at the drawing, can the welding be performed?
