[MW:5429] is oscillation is same as weaving

dear all
What is meant by oscillation in QW 410 of WPS. Is it the weaving for
SMAW process. Please reply urgently

QW-253 shows the essential, nonessential and supplementary essential variables for the SMAW process and QW-4310.7 is not one of them.

Although many people indicate weave width in this area on the WPS form, Osccilation as used in the Code is only applicable to the following machine or automatic processes:
QW-254 Submerged-Arc Welding (SAW)
QW-255 Gas Metal-Arc Welding (GMAW and FCAW)
QW-256 Gas Tungsten-Arc Welding (GTAW)
QW-257 Plasma-Arc Welding (PAW)

and referes to a change in width, frequency, or dwell time.
