RE: [MW:5131] Galvanizing oh Handrail

During the cleanning process liquid such as sulfric acid and a neutizing
solution may not be drained from the handrail prior to imersion in the
galvaizieng dip tank. Without holes to vent the trapped gasses (Air, acid
or neutalizing solutions) the handrail will act like a bomb, causing an
explosive burst of molten zinc to be sprayed out of the dip tank.

Having been at a shop where this occured it is very scary and can cause a
significant amount of property damage and personnel injuries.

Dear All,

We are fabricating handrails for our client. That to be galvanized
externally. I heard that proper holes to be provided on the handrail
for vent to dip the handrail while doing dipping. Is it is necessary?

Kindly guide me on this.

Regards,
Vijay.
