RE: [MW:5041] Absence of Ti% in PMI check

Dear Hrishi,

It is difficult for XRF-based PMI analyzers to detect low atomic weight elements (in your case Ti). Please check from product specification the detection range of your analyzer.

Analyzer will only compare the detectable elements and decide on their %ages.

Regards,

Subject: [MW:5035] Absence of Ti% in PMI check

I am using NITON make X ray type alloy analyzer. In case of some of the A312 TP 321 pipes, it doesn't show the Ti% at all in spite of repeated checks. But it confirms the grade as SS 321. What could have gone wrong?
