Hi, PQR you can use either plate or pipe..it doesn't matter...pls.rfer to QW-451 for PQR qualification limits...PQR is for P number,Welding Process, thickness .filler metal ,process...etc...its better to do the PQR with Plate for easy for welders and Procedure qualifications...Pipe diameter limits mentioned in the Section-IX only for welder's qualifications. You can use the PQR with Plate for Pipe also..When you qualify the welders for pipe you can use the same PQR of plate with the Thickness limits and all other essential variables mentioned in QW-250 to QW-265 according to the process you are using for PQR. If u have any doubts feel free to ask.. Thanks & Regards, (Karthik) Karthikeyan.S Getabec Energy Co.,Ltd. 379,Moo6,Soi8,Nikhomphatana, Rayong-21180, Thailand.
