this is a case of UT scanning of Ball v/v type B8.
procedure says- The search unit shall be positioned for maximum response using holes at 1/4, 2/4 and 3/4.
The primary reference level shall be based on 75% of full screen height response.
but company says- Since the inspection is performed from one side only 2 DAC shall be done. The first one as suggested in the procedure and the second one starting at ¾, 6/4 and 7/4. This is to obtain a reference for full skip inspection.
can somebody give me some guidance on it?
