RE: [MW:4877] std & non standard range

When you are thinking about ASME flanges, the range of the standard, ASME B16.5, is 0.5 – 24”

Flanges smaller than that and larger than that are not standard to ASME B16.5.

However, there are other standards, for example MSS covering flanges larger than 24”.

If you intend to use flanges to European Standard, EN 1092-1, the standard covers up to DN 4000 for PN 2.5.

For PN 16 flanges, only up to DN 2000. Pls consult table 8 in EN 1092-1.

If you are thinking about flanges normally on stock, it depends on many factors such as: Execution (weld neck, slip on and other), flange facing (FF, RF, RTJ and other), material class and pressure rating (Class or PN).

Hope this will help,

Kind regards

Kristian

Mr Noushad ,

These are very straight forward question,

1) What is the pipe size range  in which all flanges are standard ?

2) What is the pipe size range  in which all flanges are non standard ?

Can anybody help me out from this.
