[MW:4874] requirements for PWHT

Hi Manpreet,
If your welds are falling under lethal requirements as per UW-2, then it requires PWHT irrespective of thickness welded.
 
If lethal requirements or any additional requirements such as NACE or API or any clients' specification are not  applicable, the the following guidelines stated below would apply.
 
PWHT criteria could be set forth as per the design code or any additional specification. Always specifications are  more demanding that ASME or other design codes.

as per aASME section-VIII-UCS56,if the welded joint nominal thickness, thickness more than 38mm shall be PWHT.
As per ASME Section-1,PW-39.Welded joint thickness more than 19mm shall be PWHT.Pls.Refer with the applicable code.

Welding process -SAW

Is it required to do PWHT & also the appropriate code &
