[MW:4818] Re: how to avoid hollow bead

The most common reason for a hollow bead is the electrode being too
far away from the weld metal. "long-arcing" can cause porosity in the
weld and weaken it or cause it to fail during testing or operation.
Shorten the arc and be sure that the previous welds are cleaned very
well of slag(flux)
