Re: [MW:4266] interpass temperature for SAW welding(by twin wire) of line pipe by API5L

Hi,
 
Interpass temperature is the temperature between two succsessive passes of the weld joint, which is measured near near 2" from the groove or from the previous weld bead. How many runs you are going to make the the welding. If it is single pass welding there is no interpass temperature.

 base material is API 5L Gr. 65, thickness is  10.01 mm.
 
filler wire is L70 & Flux is P223.
 
welding requires impact testing. please inform me whether interpass is required to be checked or not.
