I can not answer #1 but for #2 refer to AWS D1.1 paragraph 4.2.1;
"Qualifications which were performed to and met the requirements of
earlier editions of AWS D1.1 or AWS D1.0 or AWS D2.0 while those
editions were in effect are valid and may be used. The use of earlier
editions shall be prohibited for new qualifications in lieu of the
current editions unless the specific earlier edition is specified in the
contract documents."

So for #2; the previously qualified WPSs/PQRs are valid and acceptable.
In my opinion your NDE procedures, acceptance criteria etc. will have to
change with the Code unless approval is given by "The Engineer" (as
defined in D1.1).

Hello Experts,

1) I have NDE Inspector qualification as per ISO 9712-2005; Is it
acceptable to ASNT-SNT-TC 1A?

2) I have WPS/PQR/WPQ/NDE Procedures, Qualififcations/Documents as per
AWS D1.1 - 2006. Shall I use those documents where there is need of AWS
D1.1 - 2008?

Please advise...

Thanks
Senthil
