The material is P1 To P4 and  It can be welded either by suitable consumable of P1 or P4 Generally it is preferred to weld by higher grade.

ii) When joint  is to be heat treated, for P4 the min PWHT temp is 650 C

iii) For higher temp. multiple weld of 309L does not give good results and fails in bend

 

Therefore it is necessary to qualify PQR accordingly  to set min PWHt temp.with respect to test results

Hi

You can use ER80SB2 or ER 70S 2 and for SMAW use E8018B2  or E7018-1 However you have to qualify PQR . No need of SS electrode

                      Here in our project we have A106 GR B to A335 P11 Dissimilare welding ,Can any on suggest the filler wire and Electrode?

Is it possible to use ER309 and E309.
