Dear sundarrajan,
Girth weld is all circular seam welding in piping and pipeline, Longitudinal weld is parallel to the axis of the pipe ,
So as per ASME B31.3 RT acceptance criteria Table 341.3.2,
If you weld circular seam in piping, you have to consider GIRTH weld acceptance criteria
