Is it a procedure qualification or performance qualification? what is
your code of construction?

You can use groove weld qualification PQR/WQT for socket welds too,
else you may qaulify on a fillet weld test plate depending on your
requirement (2F,3F, 5F etc.)

however in general most the client/PMC doesn't allow fillet weld
qualified welders on any pressure welds. no restriction in code
