[MW:1679] Longitudal seam spacing as per B 31.3

Dear All,

At one of our project, we are facing the problem of longitudnal seam to seam spacing less than 1" . In some of the cases, these are unavoidable instances like pipe to elbow at erection site.but I couldn't find any reference about it in B31.3.

Please advice what should be the course of action in this case.

Is the additional NDT and stress releiving can be done to avoid any changes in metallurgy?

Regards
Mukesh
