Subject: Mix up of A106 Gr.B and A336 Gr.6 pipes

Dear Friends,

When A106 Gr.B and A336 Gr.6 pipes are physically mixed up and mill identification/ stencilling was lost during painting on external surface. Since both are CS materials, segregation by PMI (i.e by X-Ray spectrometer or by Gamma ray) is not possible..

Is there any other NDE method to segregate/ identify them to the respective material specification.

Regards,
T S Reddy
