Welder qualification as per ASME IX.

API 5L X56 is equal to All combination of P1 - P11, P34, P4X and unassigned metal of similar chemical composition to these metals. Please clarify.

Welder qualification as per which code ASME sec IX or API 1104 or any other standard/specification?

Normally Grade/ strength of material is not an essential variable for welder performance qualification.

Nearly equivalent material is A 381 Grade Y56 (S1 Group) & A 671 grade CK75 (p1 group).
